ARTIST STATEMENT
I love the energy in abstract art and often begin with an energetic background. There is a strong connection of nature and spirit in mind. They are the result of exploration and honoring the process to let creativity flow though in the most natural and intuitive way possible.
My abstract landscape paintings have been observed as an uplifting display of energy with a unique paint texture that is both refreshing and unconstrained. These abstract works are a combination of techniques and layers that include hand drawn artwork, paint drips and texture.
I put my creative heart first. After my health problems, painting helped me to heal, rediscover, feel. It moves me deeply and I hope in turn that it will move others and bring them joy.
The creative process is natural. I feel a continuous need to explore and to create. By not “trying” and just “doing” the art becomes the experience, the experience becomes the art. It is intuitive.
